The Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Islamic Studies Department and MABIMS Centre for Al-Qur'an Studies and Dissemination has introduced an early educational tools for Tilawah Al-Qur'an, known as the Children's Al-Qur'an Tilawah Scheme or STAKA, starting early this year. A Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony in conjunction with the establishment of STAKA was held at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Masna Religious School, 26th June morning.

Among those present was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Minister of Religious Affairs.

Among the objectives of STAKA is to provide early training and guidance to students on Al-Quran reading knowledge, apart from fostering the love of AL-Quran since early age, as well as to scout and produce potential talents as future national qaris and qariahs. Participants will have a solid foundation before moving on to the more intensive Youth Al-Qur'an Reading Scheme. The scheme is participated by 125 students and is held every Friday and Sunday.
